Prosecutors briefly prosecuted the suspects while Son Woong-jung and his coaches, who run the youth soccer training institution “SON Soccer Academy,” were accused of child abuse.
According to Yonhap News on the 30th, Chuncheon District Prosecutors’ Office summarily indicted three people, including head coach Sohn Heung-yoon, and coach A, on charges of assaulting or verbally abusing the victim (child abuse under the Child Welfare Act).
The prosecution did not disclose the amount of the fine, saying, “We briefly prosecuted according to the case handling standards.”
Prosecutors also said they ordered them to complete a child abuse treatment program.
Son and the coaches are accused of physically and mentally abusing the child.
