‘Back-to-back trades’ Woori Card lets go of Song Hee-chae, signs OK Financial Group’s Song Myung-geun

OK Financial Group and Woori Card make a trade in the men’s professional volleyball league.

OK Financial Group announced on Saturday that it has agreed to a one-for-one trade with Woori Card, receiving outside hitter Song Hee-chae (31-190 cm) and sending outside hitter Song Myung-geun (30-195 cm). The Woori Card made another trade the day before, sending setter Hwang Seung-bin (31-183 cm) to KB Insurance and receiving outside hitter Han Sung-jung (27-195 cm).

With this trade, Song Hee-chae returns to her home team after nearly five years. Song Hee-chae was a founding member of the OK Financial Group, where she played for five seasons from 2013-2014 to 2017-2018.

With her reliable receiving, defense, and offense, Song helped OK Financial Group win back-to-back championships in 2015 and 2016. Song Myung-geun is also a founding member of OK Financial Group.
