“Fast and Brave Leading” Soccer. Will it be possible to appoint a new coach

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has set a goal of playing unified soccer from the A national team to the U-23 and U-20 national teams, revealing its technological philosophy that will serve as a compass for the Korean soccer style that has changed depending on the coach who is appointed.

He revealed that it can be applied to the head coach of the A national team, which is currently in the process of appointment, but clearly pointed out that it is not for the Korean leader.

The Korea Football Association held a presentation on the Korean football technology philosophy at the soccer hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 20th. Lee Im-saeng, technical director, Kim Ji-hoon, head of the soccer talent development team, and Cho Joon-hun, head of the national team operation team, presented “Technology Philosophy and Technology Policy,” “Age-based National Team Operation System,” and “KFA Game Model and Application.”

It also introduced the slogan “Fast, Fearless, and Focused” while unveiling strategies to strengthen the national team’s competitiveness, including technological philosophy, age-specific national team operation plans, and game models.

Until now, Korean soccer has played several tournaments in the style of a coach who leads the A national team without proper direction or according to the global soccer trend.

Former head coach Paulo Bento (Portugal), who won Korea’s second away round of 16 during the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup, is a good example.

At that time, Bento used build-up football, which was a way to solve the game with passes from the back.

It was important to continue the soccer as it reached the round of 16 at the World Cup in that style, but former coach Jurgen Klinsmann (Germany), Hwang Sun-hong and interim coaches Kim Do-hoon, who took the helm after Bento, all aimed for different soccer.

The Korea Football Association also recognized the lack of this part and established Korean soccer’s unique technological philosophy, which may change detailed tactics depending on the coach, such as Italy, Spain, and Brazil, but does not change the style of soccer pursued.

At the presentation, the technical director said, “Game model is good to see as a tactical approach to achieving the team’s goals. Also, that approach can be a blueprint and guidebook.”

“We divided what could happen in football into in-play and set-piece. In-play, we can divide it into offense, defense, offensive conversion and defensive conversion, and set-piece is composed of free kicks, corner kicks and throw-in penalties,” he explained.

In addition to developing detailed strategies suitable for Korean soccer, the U-23 and U-20 national teams will share their philosophy throughout Korean soccer, not limited to the A national team.

The criteria also apply to selecting the next coach for Team A, who is currently vacant. “Whoever will be the next coach for Team Korea, we need to be well aware of this game model,” the technical director said. “As this philosophy is a global trend, almost all leaders are aware of it. Even the new coach will have no difficulty in using his personality and philosophy.”

In the meantime, the Korea Football Association pointed out that emphasizing Korean sentiment did not put Korean coaches as a priority, not foreign coaches.

It is known that the 12 candidates recently selected by the Power Enhancement Committee include Kim Do-hoon, former Ulsan HD coach, and Hong Myung-bo, Ulsan HD coach. 메이저사이트

In response, Team Leader Kim said, “The establishment of this technology philosophy began in January last year,” stressing that it has nothing to do with the recent appointment of a new coach.

“When I presented this technology philosophy in Dublin, Ireland in April, there were so many things that foreigners could sympathize with and understand regardless of nationality,” he said. “I understand that foreign leaders who met the Power Reinforcement Committee at the time of their first appointment were also very attracted to this technology philosophy.”
