NBA’s biggest franchise star leaves team…Lillard to BKN rumors surface

According to the New York Post, “The Brooklyn Nets are very interested in acquiring Damian Lillard. But they won’t trade Mikal Bridges.”

Lillard, one of the NBA’s biggest superstars, has consistently said he wants a championship ring. However, his current team, the Portland 스포츠토토 Trailblazers, is far from a championship contender. Portland went 33-49 this season, finishing 13th in the Western Conference and failing to make the playoffs, let alone win a championship.

Portland was lucky enough to win the third pick in the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, but there doesn’t appear to be much room for improvement.

In other words, Portland is unlikely to challenge for a championship anytime soon. That’s why the Lillard trade rumors have been so persistent.

Lillard has been at the top of his game this season. Lillard had the best season of his career in terms of scoring, averaging 32.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds this season. It was a complete turnaround from last season’s struggles, and he was named an All-Star.

Lillard is entering his mid-30s, but he’s still in the prime of his career. Adding Lillard to a strong team could make them a contender.

One of the most talked-about teams to pursue Lillard is Brooklyn. The Nets started the season with two superstars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but both players left the team midseason. The Nets traded away Durant and Irving in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges, and Cam Johnson in an attempt to stay afloat.

But the limitations of a team without a superstar were clear. They went 0-4 in the first round of the playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers and were eliminated without a win. For Brooklyn, adding a superstar to their roster is a must.

Whether or not Brooklyn can land a superstar this summer, it’s clear that there is an undercurrent of interest.
