LG Spring Camp List Announced… Includes Many Members to Strengthen Debs

The LG Twins will start their spring camp in Arizona, the U.S. on March 1. Some players have already departed to the U.S. individually, but their main teams will leave on March 30. Prior to this, the LG Twins announced on Friday the list of participants in the first-tier spring camp.
The Arizona camp will be joined by 19 coaching staff members and 42 players. They include 23 pitchers, 4 catchers, 8 infielders, and 7 outfielders. Just like last year, a large number of pitchers are included.

LG sent out the Stove League last year under a plan to maintain its overall record of winning the title overall, but it was inevitable that players would leave the team. Many players left the bullpen. Closing pitcher Ko Woo-suk joined the San Diego Padres of the Major League Baseball through a posting system (closed competitive bidding). Lee Jung-yong joined the Korean Armed Forces Sports Unit (SMA), and Ham Deok-ju cannot join the team in the first half of the year due to surgery for a broken left elbow. In preparation for this, he is expected to send a large number of pitchers to the upcoming camp.

The team plans to check once again the growth of starting pitchers Kim Yoon-sik, Son Joo-young and Lee Ji-gang. The bullpen session is expected to focus on Park Myung-geun, Baek Seung-hyun, Jung Woo-young and Yoo Young-chan to check the possibilities of Lee Sang-young and Kim Dae-hyun. The team plans to secure as many bullpen resources as possible as it did last year, and secure the back door with Debs at the forefront.

In the fielders, the existing starting pitchers and resources that need to be checked by coaching staff have been given tickets to Arizona. Kim Min-sung, a free agent, and Kim Min-soo, an infielder who wore an LG uniform through sign-and-trade, are included in the first-team camp. Rookie infielder Son Yong-joon and outfielder Kim Hyun-jong will also join the team. Infielder Koo Bon-hyuk, who returned after completing his mandatory military service last year, and big-shot batter Song Chan-ui, who changed his position to an outfielder, also need to prove his competitive edge in Arizona. 꽁머니환전
LG has strong starting pitchers across all positions. However, the coaching staff plans to find players to replace Kim Min-sung who played all-weather in the infield field and make Debs even thicker at this camp.

LG will play two practice games at the camp and return to Korea on March 4 to raise its sense of practical play in the exhibition game that will start on the 9th.
