Even with Kim Min-jae, 3 center backs are not enough…Munich interested in ‘Barça No. 4’ Araujo → possible summer move

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Ronald Araujo.

“The rumors that Munich are interested in Araujo appear to be true. However, the timing of the deal is still up for debate. There is no chance of Araujo joining in January. He is currently focused on Barcelona and has no plans to move during the season,” the report said.

The outlet continued, “Money is not important to Araujo. He only wants to be competitive and win more trophies. Munich will tempt him with the prospect of winning the UEFA Champions League (UCL). Araujo will first play for Barcelona and see how far this team can go.”

Munich have made changes to their defense this summer. Luca Hernandez, who can play in the center and on the flanks, and Benjamin Pavard announced their intentions to leave the club. The Bavarians decided to let them go and bring in a new player, and that player was Kim Min-jae.

However, the decision to keep only three immediate center backs in the first team became a handshake. Kim Min-jae, Dayo Upamecano, and Matthias Der Licht, while 18-year-old Tarek Buchmann, who was called up from the youth academy, still needs to gain more experience.

Initially, the expectation was that Kim Min-jae and Der Licht would be the main pairing, but Der Licht has been injured since the preseason, so Kim and Upamecano have been the main pairing. The problem was that Der Licht couldn’t afford to rotate as he kept getting sidelined, and both Kim and Upamecano suffered injuries.

Der Licht made his first start in the league in late September against Bochum. After missing about a month due to injury, he started again against Mainz. He made back-to-back starts against Darmstadt, but has since been sidelined with injury. The Bavarians initially pursued the return of veteran center-back Jerome Boateng, but the deal fell through amid controversy over his alleged assault on an ex-girlfriend. 헤라카지노

Araujo has emerged as a possible replacement. Araujo is a Uruguayan center back born in 1999. He started his career with Barcelona’s B team (second team) before being called up to the first team in the 2019-20 season and is now a first-team center back.
