Manager Gerrard, who has 25.4 billion won per year, signed an extension contract with Saudi R.T. Park until 2027

Steven Gerrard (43, England), who leads Saudi Arabian professional football RETI Park, has signed an extension contract until 2027.

RETPARK announced on the 18th (local time) that “Gerrard, who signed a two-year contract with the club in July 2023, has decided to extend his contract until 2027.”

RET Park ranks eighth among 18 teams in the Saudi professional league in the 2023-24 season with six wins, seven draws and six losses (25 points). RET Park ranked seventh in the league with 10 wins, seven draws and 13 losses (37 points) in the 2022-23 season before Gerrard took the helm.

“This contract extension is a pleasure for myself and my family,” said Gerrard, who signed the extension. “I feel like I have been recognized for my dedication and hard work.”

Manager Gerrard’s annual salary is known to amount to 15 million pounds (about 25.4 billion won).

After his retirement, Gerrard served as Liverpool U-18 coach and spent his first professional career as a manager at Rangers FC in Scotland, leading to an unbeaten win (32 wins and 6 draws) in the 2020-21 season. He later moved to Aston Villa in the English Premier League (EPL), but was replaced due to poor performance during the 2022-23 season, and headed to Saudi Arabia a short time later.

R.T. Park is currently far behind Al Hilal (53 points), the leader, and is also far behind Al-Ahli (40 points), the third-place finisher of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League elite. 마카오토토주소

Along with news of Gerrard’s contract extension, RET Park also announced the termination of his contract with England midfielder Jordan Henderson (33), a former “Liverpool Captain.” Henderson, who joined the club in July last year, has left RET Park for the first time in six months due to his inability to adjust to life in the local community. He is most likely to join Ajax in the Netherlands.
