SSG Landers outfielder Guillermo Heredia had a breakout game in the seventh game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against KT Wiz on April 13 at SSG Landers Field in Incheon.
Heredia recorded his first five-hit game in his KBO debut. He singled in his first at-bat in the second inning, and in the third inning, he hit 먹튀검증 an RBI single to score Choi Ji-hoon from second base. In the sixth inning, he led off with a single and crossed the 70-hit plateau on the next at-bat. He added hits in the seventh and eighth innings.

It wasn’t just the offense that stood out. He also stood out on defense and at the plate. In the sixth and eighth innings, Heredia made outstanding plays at the plate. In the seventh inning, he caught Anthony Alford leading off with a double. He rounded first base and made a strong throw to second to catch Alford at second, and was tagged out. It was his seventh double play of the season.
With her five hits on the day, Heredia moved to the top of the league with a .335 batting average, tied for second in the league in hits with 72 and tied for second in RBIs with 41.
After the game, SSG head coach Kim Won-hyung praised Heredia’s performance at the plate, saying, “Heredia did a great job with five hits.”
Heredia said, “When I’m at the plate, I’m always thinking about how I can contribute to the team’s victory. “When I’m at the plate, I don’t think about my personal records or goals. I only think about hitting for the team.”
Even if you get five hits, you’re happy. He knows that the team’s performance is more important than his own.
“I’m happy to get five hits, but I’m not going to focus on my one-game performance, I’m going to focus on helping the team win as many games as possible to win the championship,” he said.
