Pohang Steelers U12 Pohang Steelers Elementary School won the National Boys’ Sports Festival.

Pohang Steelers U12 Pohang Steelers Elementary School, led by head coach Kim Seung-min, took the throne by beating Busan Haeundae FC 3-2 in the final of the 53rd National Boys’ Sports Festival football elementary competition held in Boseong on the 28th.

Pocheol Elementary School, which advanced to the finals with a victory in the preliminary round of the Boys’ Sports Festival held in March, won all but one semifinal game. Captain Lee Seok-young won the Most Valuable Player award.

After winning the 2015 competition, Pochulcho achieved the feat of winning the Boys’ Sports Festival for the first time in nine years, ranking second in 2017 and third in 2022. It is also interesting that Lee Seung-hwan, the current goalkeeper of a professional team, was a member when he won the 2015 competition.

The club said, “It can be said that it shows a good example of a youth system in which the main players of the youth team become resources for the professional team in the future. Pohang Steelers will continue to provide support for the development of youth players.” 먹튀검증

“I’m very happy to win the championship in the first year of my tenure. I think the result was good because the club and the school had full support from the preparation for the championship,” Kim said. “I will continue to work hard to foster players with a sense of mission to match the reputation of Pohang Steelers youth.”
