The national youth baseball team, participating in the 7th World Youth Baseball Tournament, lost 4-5 in the final game of the Super Round against Venezuela in overtime, finishing the tournament in 5th place.

Korea gave up 1 run first in the 3rd inning, and 3 more runs in the 5th inning, falling behind 0-4. However, Korea dramatically tied the game in the top of the 6th inning and took the game to overtime. However, in the bottom of the 7th inning, when Venezuela attacked the grounder in front of the shortstop who came out from 2nd and 3rd base, he could not catch the runner on 3rd base and eventually lost 4-5.

The national team, which finished all the Super Round matches, tied with Dominica with 1 win and 4 losses by adding 3 Super Round records to the record between the top 3 teams in the preliminary round (1 win 1 loss), but according to the winner-win principle, the national team finished ahead of Dominica in the final 5.
